Letters To PGRPA

THANK YOU LETTERS TO THE PGR-PA

Anyone receiving Thank You Letters may forward them to us for posting.

  • HOLIDAY MESSAGE FROM REGIONAL RIDE CAPTAIN
  • Letter of gratitude from the family of John George Shernit, 31 Oct 14

We don’t have anyone’s mailing address but wanted you to know that we cannot express the gratitude we have for the outstanding service and respect your team gave to us and our dad. The plaque we received is beautiful and it and the flag will proudly be shown in our home.

During this time of grief it was great to see my husband’s pride as he rode with your team and accepted the plaque and flag. Many of our family and friends commented on how amazing your contributions to John’s service was.

Thank you, again,  for making this happen for us and thank you all for your continued service to this country’s veterans and communities.

    With much admiration,

    Michelle Shernisky

  • Letters for John G Gorzelic, USN WW2, 30 OCT 14

    Mr. McGinnis,
On behalf of my family and I, I would just like to convey our sincere gratitude for the flag line and escort for my Fathers
funeral service on Thursday October 30th 2014. We were overwhelmed by the professionalism and respect your members exhibited. Bubba and his group made a difficult day bearable for myself and my family. Being a member of Rolling Thunder, I have been one of the guys holding a flag but seeing what your group does from the other perspective, the perspective of the family and Veteran being honored, I was blown away, the comments I received from Friends and Family ranged from what an unbelievable tribute, to I wish I would have known about your group when their loved ones passed. Words cannot express our
extreme gratitude for what the Patriot Guard Riders have done for my family and friends. I salute you Sir and all of your members for a job well done.

    Sincerely,
Jim Gorzelic, and the entire Gorzelic family
P.S. Please share this email with your entire organization

    ==============================================================================================================

    Dear Patriot Guard Organization:

Yesterday members of your fine organization as well as members from Rolling Thunder paused to remember my father-in-law, Mr. John Gorzelic, in Bethlehem, PA.  Mr. Gorzelic was a true American Hero in every sense of the phrase.  He served throughout the Pacific theatre in the United States Navy and experienced the horrors of war firsthand.  His actions saved many lives.  Sadly, he joined his brothers in Heaven on Saturday, October 25th following a long illness.

I want you to know just how much the Gorzelic family appreciates your caring professionalism and recognition of their patriarch.  From my personal perspective as a retired US Navy officer and one who has personally suffered the loss of my son Matthew, a law enforcement officer, in the line of duty; I cannot express the level to which your actions yesterday touched my heart.  Your dedication to your mission, your support for our family, and the pride and professionalism you exhibited yesterday rose to the highest traditions I ever saw as a member of the United States Armed Services.  And the family is deeply, deeply grateful.  Your members made a very difficult day a time of honor and respect.  For this we thank you from the bottom of our collective heart.

As an aside, I had the honor of meeting several of the members of your organization who have also lost sons in the line of duty.  We shared our stories and wept together.  And over the past 13 years since my son’s death, I have found this to be very helpful in our recovery from such a terrible loss.

May God Bless you in all that you do and give you His Peace.

    With deep respect and thanks,

Todd and the members of the Gorzelic Family

    Todd W. Herzog, CRNA, ARNP

Dear Patriots, on behalf of Jon R. Jon was one of you and although he earned this nation’s highest honor, he would be the first one to humbly tell you it was because he, “couldn’t outrun them, so he had to fight them.”
