WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA ESCORT AND FLAG LINE

The American Legion Post #38 Auxiliary and Legion Post #38 have requested the Patriot Guard Riders escort a small caravan of WAA trucks passing through Schuylkill County destined to National Cemeteries in the South.
The escort, including local police, fire companies and other dignitaries, will end at Veterans of Vietnam War Post #29 Memorial in Schuylkill Haven where Veteran Committee’s from local schools will be waiting.
The Patriot Guard will stand a flag line while an honor ceremony is presented during the placing of 7 wreaths recognizing the 5 services, Merchant Marines and POW/MIA.
The family members of Captain Jason B Jones KIA will also be presented with a wreath.
The escort is approximately 3/4 mile and the ceremony will be approximately 3/4 hour. The ceremony begins at 12:30 pm on Monday 12/8/2014.

Note: This Memorial is in the parking lot of the
First United Church of Christ and is accessible from
Rt 61 North and also from the entrance of Penn State
Schuylkill Campus.
Flag Line will be set upon arrival at Memorial and during Ceremony.
Dress accordingly for weather conditions. The escort will include WAA semi’s.
If you decide not to participate in the escort, please go directly to the Memorial. Steve Brish, PGR RC will be there to direct you.
Please bring 3 x 5 flags if you can.
