The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked by the family of US Army Veteran Tech-5 Roy L. Sipes to stand in honor of his service to his nation. Roy served in Germany, Japan, and the Philippines and for his service received the M1 Expert Rifle Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon, American Theater Service Medal. European African Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal W/2 Bronze Stars, Victory Medal, and the Asian Pacific Theater Service Medal
Roy was also a life member of Hershey VFW #3502 and Hummelstown American Legion #265
Tech 5 Roy L. Sipes served his country honorably during World War II and we will be there to honor his service to our nation with a flag line as he is interred at IGNC with military honors Tech-5 Roy L. (Dutch) Sipes is a true patriot who served our country with honor and now it’s our turn to stand and honor him.
(Roy’s grandson Sean will be leading an escort from the funeral home to the gap. This is not an official part of the mission. However, Sean has invited anyone that wants to ride along to meet at Buse Funeral Home 145 Grant St. Palmyra, Pa.
