The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Roy Smith Sr., U.S. Army veteran, to stand in silent honor for his service then escort for the interment.

Roy entered the U.S. Army January of 1952 and served until he was honorably discharged, with the rank of Corporal October of 1953.

Decorations include, the Occupation of Germany Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

Following time served, Roy became a member of the VFW Post #6391 of Port Allegany and the American Legion Frank Burt Post #258.

Roy served our country and community with honor, it’s now our turn to stand in honor for him.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 5:00 PM

 

Interment will be conducted by the Port Allegany Honor Guard.

 

Per family request, there will not be an escort after the service to the cemetery.

 

Members can attend all of a mission or any part of the mission. PGR sets no time for a member to escort and or stand a mission. We Thank you for whatever time you give us and the families of our heroes appreciate your time.

Please be aware and alert of your surroundings. Also, before heading out please watch the weather, dress accordingly, bring your 3 X 5 handheld American flags and grab your masks.
