Roger and I were lifelong friends, he will be truly missed. To his family you have my deepest condolences for your loss. I truly wish I could have been there. I regret the fact that I didn’t know where he was living, I would have been at his door four years ago when my wife and I were in Mercersburg. Roger thank you for your service in the Marine Corp. I shall really miss you. May the Lord Bless and Keep you.
Sincerely Ben Portner, USN
