The family of Army WWII Veteran Richard J. Roden has requested the Patriot Guard Riders stand to honor his service to our nation at his funeral ceremony, escort and interment in Harrisburg on Saturday March 3rd. Richard served in the Army with the 53rd Troop Carrier Wing during World War II from 1941 until 1946. He was awarded the American Service Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and European, African, Middle Eastern Service Medal. Following the ceremony, we will escort Richard and his family from the Funeral Home in Harrisburg to Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens for his (non-military) interment ceremony. Richard J. Roden is a patriot who served our country with honor and now it’s our turn to stand and honor him.
