The family of US Navy Air Veteran Richard Ives Schreiber has requested the Patriot Guard Riders stand to honor his service to our nation at his funeral service, Friday, March 29th. Richard was stationed at Willow Grove Naval Air Base and served as a Flight Engineer 1st. Class Petty Officer. He flew missions searching for Russian subs during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Where he and his crew were shot down by a MIG. He was rescued by the USS Forestall. Unfortunately, his Co-Pilot and ECM did not make it as they ditched in the water. Richard is a true patriot who served our country with honor and now it’s our turn to stand and honor him.
