The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Mark Raymond Brown, a U.S. Army veteran and one of us, a Patriot Guard Rider, to stand in silent honor for his service.
Mark enlisted in the U.S. Army May of 1982, assigned to Battery C 2nd Battalion 41st Field Artillery, having served overseas in Germany then transferred to the U.S. Army Reserves May of 1985 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Specialist (E4) May of 1988.
Decorations include the Army Achievement Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster.
Following time served, Mark became a member of the American Legion and American Legion Riders Post #474 Zelienople. Later Mark was promoted to Road Captain, making sure all events ran smoothly and safely. Through Mark’s efforts of being a Road Captain, Mark was promoted to Sergeant at Arms of Pennsylvania, his duties were to ensure all rules that are set forth in the constitution and by laws are followed and adhered to and shall maintain order at all state American Legion activities. Not only was Mark a member, Mark was an asset to the Legion, respected and loved by all.
Mark loved his country and his community and wanted to do more, to honor and To Stand For Those Who Stood For Us and became a Patriot Guard Rider, joined December of 2016.
Because of Mark and Leadership with the American Legion in Zelienople, together we were and continue to ensure our Hometown Heroes who proudly served or currently serving, are honored.
Mark served our country with honor, inviting all to honor our American Hero & Brother.

Members can attend all of a mission or any part of the mission. PGR sets no time for a member to escort and or stand a mission. We Thank you for whatever time you give us and the families of our heroes appreciate your time.
Also, before heading out please watch the weather, dress accordingly and bring your 3 X 5 handheld American flags.
