The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Joseph Vincent Delaney, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran to stand in silent honor by Flag Line for his service then escort to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies for the interment.
Joseph proudly served the U.S. Marine Corps, assigned to Motor Transport Company,Service Battalion in Quantico,Virginia, having served overseas during the Vietnam War, a total of 4 years and 5 months and honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant after a total of 6 years of service.
Decorations include the Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal W/ 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/ 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry Medal W/ Palm and the Vietnam Campaign Medal W/ 1 Oak Leaf Cluster.
Joseph served our country with honor, it’s now our turn to honor him.

Members can attend all of a mission or any part of the mission. PGR sets no time for a member to escort and or stand a mission. We Thank you for whatever time you give us and the families of our heroes appreciate your time.
Remember that the National Cemetery is a Federal Reservation and NO WEAPONS are permitted. Also, masks are no longer required for those fully vaccinated. If not fully vaccinated you are required to wear a mask while social distancing, during the service, interment and if indoors.
Also, before heading out please watch the weather, dress accordingly and bring your 3 X 5 hand held American flags.
