The family of Navy retired veteran John H. Mateer, Jr. has requested the Patriot Guard Riders stand to honor his service to our nation at his interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Thursday, June 15.  John started in the Army, and served two tours in Vietnam during which he earned the Purple Heart.  After separating from the Army, he joined the Navy and put in a full career and retired as a Boatswain 1st Class.

 

We will escort John and his family from the Funeral Home in New Cumberland to Indiantown Gap National Cemetery for interment with full military honors.  John Mateer Jr. is a patriot who served our country with honor and now it’s our turn to stand and honor him.

If going directly to IGNC, stage at the upper parking lot opposite the rear of the PA Memorial, (turn left at the US Flag Circle). Stage at 0830 HRS

DO NOT PROCEED TO COMMITTAL SITE WITHOUT PERMISSION.

 

NOTE:  Concealed carry permits are NOT recognized on military installations and federal reservations. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery is a federal reservation. Do not bring weapons or hazardous materials to this mission.
