About the Mission:
United States Navy Machinist’s Mate Second Class James Leslie Sperlin, Veteran enlisted May 26, 1967. Education completed in the US Navy Basic Propulsion and Engineering, Machinists Mates Class, Damage Control Shipboard. US Navy MM2 Sperlin served two years eleven months and four days overseas on the USS John F. Kennedy CVA 67, (an Attack Aircraft Carrier that is no longer in service). After serving four years in the United States Navy, Sperlin transferred to the US Naval Reserve. During his time of service, the following was earned. Meritorious Unit Commendation (Ribbon Bar), and the National Defense Service Medal.

Please, be advised, you are never required to stand for an entire mission. Please know your limitations in extreme weather, or under any circumstance. Your health and well-being are a priority. Thank you all, for all you do.

Friends and the American Legion Post 175 Honor Guard and Active-Duty United States Navy will be in attendance. VA regulations 38 CFR 1.218: It is prohibited to carry firearms (either openly or concealed), explosives or other dangerous or deadly weapons on VA property.
