About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders have been asked by the family of U.S. Army SPF 4 Richard James Ostrowski, Vietnam Veteran to escort the Ostrowski family from the Siwicki-Yanicko Funeral Home, Russellton, Pennsylvania to Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, Cheswick, Pennsylvania for Ostrowski’s final resting place. US Army SPF 4 Richard James Ostrowski, Vietnam Veteran honorably served his country. Ostrowski enlisted in the US Army 1965. In 1966 Ostrowski attended two 5-week courses, 1st being the USA AVNS Air Craft Maintenance Crewman, 2nd 5-week course in 1966 he attended the Helicopter Maintenance courses. Upon completing both courses as a SPF 4 Turbine Helicopter Mechanic. US Army SPF 4 Vietnam Veteran Richard Ostrowski actively served his country for 1 year, 11 months, and 17 days, during his time in service 7 months and 15 days was served Foreign and or Sea Service.
Ostrowski also earned the following: National Defense Services Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Good Conduct Medal (1st Award) Marksman (Riffle M-13).
