Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by VFW Post 470 to escort the unclaimed remains of US Marine Corps Veteran PFC Richard Wayne Harton, from Erie, Pennsylvania to his final resting place at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania with a Chaplain and US Marine Corps Honor Guard. Harton served 3 years, 6 months, 9 days in the US Marine Corps. Harton’s Military Occupational Specialty 0311 a Rifleman. On September 4,1958 he entered Active Component Service completing Basic Training at Parris Island, South Carolina December 8,1958. On March 31,1962 was discharged from Active Component and transferred to Naval Marine Corps Reserve Training Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with the Instructor / Inspector Staff, 12th Infantry Battalion. On September 22,1964 was discharged from the Marine Corps Reserve Component. He served 1 year 6 months and 4 days in foreign and/or sea service. Received Good Conduct Medal before retiring as US Marine Corps PFC Richard Wayne Harton, Veteran.
