Generous Donation

All,
PGRPA has received a very generous donation from the Captain Sean M Ruane Foundation to be able to continue our incredibly distinguished mission of honoring our fallen heroes and veterans of earlier war and peacetime eras. We are working with Sean’s Foundation to get together in the near future to learn more about each other and forge a great friendship.
Captain Sean M Ruane was a helicopter pilot for the 56th Rescue Squadron based in England, but grew up in Western Pennsylvania. His mission for the Air Force was to fly his crew of 6 into hostile territory and rescue critically injured personnel, military and civilian alike. Their creed: “These things we do, that others may live.”
Sean served three tours in Iraq and two in Afghanistan, with his crew members they rescued 131 personnel so they had a chance to get the medical attention they desperately needed. Captain Ruane received 17 Air Medals, a Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, the Air Force Combat Action Medal, 2 Meritorious Unit Awards, 4 Outstanding Unit Awards with a Valor Device, 5 Expeditionary Service Ribbons with Gold Border, 3 Iraq Campaign Medals, and 2 Afghanistan Campaign Medals.
You may read more of Sean’s story and learn about what the foundation does on the Foundation’s website found here:
