The family of Eugene R. “Gene” Paul has requested the Patriot Guard Riders join the American Legion Riders in standing to honor his service to our nation at his memorial service Friday, December 11th. Gene served on the U.S.S. Taconic in the Vietnam Era. He was very active member of the American Legion, and was the founder and President of the Dallastown American Legion Riders, Post 605, and a member of the PGR. Please join us as we and the Legion Riders honor one of our own. Gene Paul is a patriot who served our country with honor and now it’s our turn to stand and honor him.

26 riders of the Dallastown American Legion Riders, Red Lion American Legion Riders, and PGR stood to honor Gene Paul. Gene was very active in the American Legion, and was the founder and president of the Dallastown American Legion Riders. Both the number of people standing flag line, and the enormous turn out for his funeral are an indication of how highly Gene was thought of by his community, and a fitting tribute for this patriot.

We received this letter of appreciation from Dawn Paul, Gene’s wife.
Dale,
I wanted to say thank you to all the Patriot Guard Riders that stood guard at my husband Gene Paul’s memorial service yesterday. I can only hope he was able to look down and see the wonderful turnout since it would have meant so much to him. He was proud to be a veteran, a member of the American Legion and Patriot Guard Riders. Please pass this along as you see appropriate.
Dawn Paul
