The family of Emery Haller Jr. U.S. Army has requested that we stand to honor his service to our country at his funeral and interment Wednesday, 23 Jan. Emery was a District 11 champion in the 220-yard dash and anchor on the 440 and 880 District 11 championship relay teams. He was a star running back on the football team, earning a football scholarship to the University of Georgia. Emery proudly served in the US Army as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. He worked as a police officer for 25 years in the City of Bethlehem, retiring as an investigator. Emery was a member of the F.O.P. and served as past president of the Bethlehem Police Club. He was also a very active member of Elks Lodge #191 and served as Past Exalted Ruler. Emery was Clubmen of the year in 1992. Emery Haller Jr. is a patriot who served our country with honor and now it’s our turn to stand and honor him.
