The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by American Legion Post #778 Lyndora, PA and the Family of Cpl James “Tommy” Mainhart, to Stand in Silent Honor then Escort their American Hero Home.
Cpl James Thomas “Tommy” Mainhart who is from Butler, PA was killed in 1950 in one of the Korean War’s decisive battles against the Chinese, is finally coming home.
In December, the U.S. Army contacted Mainhart’s nephew, Tom Mainhart, with news that DNA had been used to positively identify his uncle’s remains.
Tom said when he and his father learned the Army was using DNA to identify the remains of missing soldiers, both of them gave samples. Years went by, and then right before Christmas, the call finally came.
