The Patriot Guard Riders Of Pennsylvania have been asked to stand and honor US Army Captain Nancy Jo Ann Eckert.
Nancy was a registered nurse and a decorated Captain of the Army Nurse Corps, serving as a combat nurse at the 93rd Evacuation Hospital Long Binh, Vietnam. She is part of several videos about combat nurses, “Not on the Front Line,” “The Other Angels” and the Ken Burns Podcast “The War is Still With Us.” She is a lifetime member of VVA415 and worked on legislation for “Agent Orange” compensation and the flying of the “POW-MIA” flag over government buildings.
For her service Nancy received the National defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ Device, 1 OS Bar, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
Captain Nancy J. Eckert is truly a patriot who served her country with honor. Now it is our turn to stand and honor her.
