The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of MSgt Richard Davis, US Army to Escort and Stand in Silent Honor of their American Hero.
December 20, 1919 – April 8, 1951
MSgt. Richard Davis graduated from Blairsville and joined the Army during World War II. He returned home after the war. The Korean War gave him a reason to re-enlist and he became an Army Master Sergeant. Davis was a member of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, near Unsan, North Korea, when the Chinese People’s Volunteer Force attacked the regiment.
