Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War II
at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies
On 14 August 1945 the Imperial Japanese government agreed to the terms of the Potsdam Declaration, ending hostilities in the Pacific Theater. Thereafter 14 August would be known as “VJ Day” for Victory over Japan.
