The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Robert “Bob” Clifton Grant, a U.S. Army​ Retired​ to escort then stand in silent honor by Flag Line for the interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Bob proudly served​ in the U.S. Army from March of 1968, having served during Vietnam until February 1970 then reenlisted in the U.S. Army June of 1983 and honorably discharged and retired March of 2001.

Decorations include the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.

Regarding Civil Service, Bob was active and the Past Commander with VFW Post #128 in Rochester, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #862 in Rochester, Past Commander of District 25, Monaca American Legion Post #580, life member of the Purple Heart Association, National Guard and the VFW National Home for Children.

Bob served our country and his community with honor, it’s now our turn to honor him.

Members can attend all of a mission or any part of the mission. PGR sets no time for a member to escort and or stand a mission. We Thank you for whatever time you give us and the families of our heroes appreciate your time.

Remember that the National Cemetery is a Federal Reservation and NO WEAPONS are permitted. Also, no masks needed to be worn outside on NCOTA grounds but masks are required, vaccinated or not if indoors.

Also, before heading out please watch the weather, dress accordingly and bring your 3 X 5 handheld American flags.
