Update: Received From NCOTA
We have one more truck arriving Saturday morning (12/18) at 8am. They are bringing the final 96 boxes. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Update: There is no 3 o’clock Unloading today! Requesting many volunteers, there will now be 2 trucks arriving tomorrow at 7:30 AM. For those planning on attending, please park by the Columbarium A.

In addition, I want to say Thank You! for all who showed this morning, there were at least 60 in attendance and Thank You! to all in advance to those assisting tomorrow.

Update received from NCOTA for the Unloading the Wreaths for Wreaths Across America:
One of the trucks that was supposed to be here tomorrow morning at 8 AM was not loaded. So the 8 AM truck is now scheduled to arrive 3 PM Thursday afternoon. So we have one truck tomorrow morning at eight. One truck tomorrow afternoon at 3 PM. Two trucks Friday morning at 8 AM.

 

Received Update: There are now a total of 4 trucks delivering wreaths for WAA!

1 truck on Friday, 17 December at 7:30 AM

Also, NCOTA has a full day of services on Thursday (10 interments), Please be aware and respectful.

Unloading of the Wreaths For Wreaths Across America 2021
National Cemetery of the Alleghenies

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies for the Unloading of the Wreaths for Wreaths Across America 2021. This year 100% coverage, to honor all on the Hallowed Ground,1500 Boxes with a total of 14,500 wreaths to be laid.

Wreaths Across America mission is to Remember the Fallen, Honor those who serve & Teach the next generation about the value of freedom and to be carried out by coordinating wreath laying Memorial Ceremonies in all 50 States.

The Unloading is an open invite, All Are Welcome including children. Please join us as we unload the trucks and stage the boxes.

2 Trucks to arrive at 8:00 AM

 

All Bikes & Cages need to be moved before 9:30 AM, there is an interment at 10:00 AM. Parking is available by the main American Flag or you may park in the lot by Shelter 3.

Also, there will be a third truck that is scheduled to arrive on Friday, 17th December 2021 at 7:30 AM for those who would like to assist.

 

Due to COVID, unfortunately NCOTA is unable to have a formal Memorial Ceremony again this year. However the Wreath Laying is still on at the following Dates/Times:

Friday, 17 December : 3 – 5:00 PM

Saturday, 18 December : 9- 12:00 PM

Sunday, 19 December : 9- 12:00 PM

Dates and Times are subject to change due to unforeseen weather or traffic so, please check post before heading out.

 

Members can attend all of a Mission or any part of the Mission. PGR sets no time for a Member to Escort and or Stand a Mission. We Thank you for whatever time you give us and the families of our Heroes appreciate your time.

 

Remember that the National Cemetery is a Federal Reservation and no weapons are permitted.

Also, Please watch the weather and dress accordingly.
