The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Roger Earl Speer, a U.S. Army veteran, to stand in silent honor for his service.
Roger entered the U.S. Army August of 1967,in theatre during Vietnam with the 101st Airborne then transferred to the U.S. Army Reserves until he was honorably discharged, with the rank of Specialist 4 August of 1973.
Decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 2 Overseas Bars.
Following time served, Roger became a member of the Wheatland West Middlesex Honor Guard which he proudly served and he also belonged to the Hickory VFW and the Sharon American Legion.
Roger served our country and community with honor, it’s now our turn to honor him.
