The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Mark A Schmelzlen US Marine Corps Veteran & Retired Pennsylvania State Trooper to Stand In Silent Honor then Escort for his Interment with Military Honors.
Mark served as a Scout Sniper with the United States Marine Corps during Desert Storm and served in Panama, Liberia, the Mediterranean, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Mark later became a Pennsylvania State Trooper and retired with 25 years of credited Service. The majority of Mark’s career was spent at the Troop B Waynesburg Station where Mark Served as a Patrol Trooper, Criminal Investigator and Patrol Supervisor. Additionally, Mark was a Polygraph Examiner for the Troop B area of the Pennsylvania State Police, a peer contact in the Pennsylvania State Police Members Assistance Program Unit and was an active Member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 47, where he served as Chaplain and currently, was working as a Detective at the Washington County District Attorney’s Office in Washington, PA.
Mark served our country and his community with Honor, now its our turn to Stand & Honor him.
This is a three day Honor Mission, Members can attend all of a Mission or any part of the Mission. PGR sets no time for a Member to Stand a Mission. We Thank You for whatever time you give us and the families of our Heroes appreciate your time.
