The Historic Prospect Hill Cemetery Heritage Foundation will be holding a flag updating ceremony on Veterans Day Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Volunteers, including Gold Star family members who have lost loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan will attend.
Thirty-five (35) new US flags will be added to the 2,315 flags already on display. One (1) new state flag will be added to the 299 Pennsylvania flags memorializing Pennsylvania’s fallen heroes. The Pennsylvania flag will be placed in honor of Captain Jason B. Jones US Army of Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania who was killed in battle on June 2, 2014.
Please come out and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
