The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to honor a retired US Army Veteran on Friday, January 26th 2024 as he is laid to his final rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Emil enlisted into the US Army in 1953 and began his military career as a private in the infantry. He worked his way up to the rank of Master Sergeant. During this time, he also earned his Airborne wings and Ranger tab. In 1961, he was commissioned as an officer and rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel.
Throughout his career, the Colonel had numerous overseas tours, including Korea and Ethiopia, as well as two combat tours in Vietnam. Emil served his country for 27 years, before retiring in 1978. He was always proud of being an Airborne Ranger, leading the way!
Emil served his country honorably and for his service received, The Vietnam Service Medal (4 Campaigns)Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, (Ethiopian Air-Borne), ranger Tab, Armed Forces reserve Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry W/Pal, Vietnam Staff Service Medal 1st Class, The Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal W/Device, (3rd Oak Leaf cluster), Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Purple Heart, Good conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, (1st Oak Leaf Cluster)

LTC Emil Charles Gregg is a patriot who served his country with honor. Now it is our turn to stand and honor him.
