Free Veterans Event Returning to Capital Area Aug. 25
Camp Hill, Pa. (Aug. 11, 2016) – The Veterans’ Expo & Job Fair will return to the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg, 1150 Camp Hill Bypass, Camp Hill, on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It is the second year the free, two-for-one event has been held in the Capital Area. Veterans of all ages, active military and their families are urged to attend.
The Veterans’ Expo will connect active and retired military members with the benefits and resources available to them through local businesses and organizations.
Guests will have access to a broad range of exhibitors, from VA benefits counselors and healthcare professionals to finance, home improvement, legal services and continuing education opportunities.
Free chair massages will also be available throughout the day.
At the Job Fair, veterans can meet directly with potential employers offering a wide variety of employment opportunities.
Company representatives will be looking to fill positions in sales, labor, management, tech, medical services, transportation, clerical, manufacturing, engineering, construction, retail, financial services and more.
Before the event, veterans may submit their resumes for review ahead of time by Karen Francis, global career development facilitator.
Job seekers can also visit the Resource Center for advice on resume writing, VA Medicare benefits, and other helpful information for translating their military careers to civilian opportunities.
They may also obtain free, professional headshots for use on their LinkedIn profiles.
